さくぶん 3: 二十ねんごのわたし

 二十ねんごのわたしはレストランあります。わたしはけっこんしましたそしてこどもがさんにんいます。わたしとしゅじんのうちがあります。わたしたちはロセンゼリスいます。まいとしなにわたしのかぞくはやみます。いちねんいっかいあたらしいがいこくにりょこうをします。タイとにほんとフランスりょこうをします。いろいろなりょうりをたべます。わたしのレストランはいちばんおいしいですそしていちばんおもしろいです。

Fall Break !

こんしゅうのげつようびとかようびはコロンビアだいがくの秋やすみ。わたしはよくねました。そしてわたしはべんきょしましたから、にほんのしけんあひたです。せんしゅうのもくようびは Halloweenです。わたしはともだちおパーティーへいきましか。せんしゅうのきにょうびはともだちのたんじょびです。いしょにワインおのみました。

ウィークエンド

せんしう、わたしわたくさんべんきょしました。すいよびのごぜんからもくよびのごごおじごとをしました。わたしわねませんでした。


 最後の週末, わたしわコロンビアの homecoming へいきました。わたしわ楽しみを持っていた。やすみましたそしていまふたたびべんきょします。

Hello!

 I chose to study Japanese for several reasons. After traveling to Tokyo for the first time nine months ago, I was enthralled with the culture and people of Japan. I left wanting already to return, reunite with my friends there, and to learn Japanese to be able to converse with them in their native tongue. I am also a senior at Columbia, and as I have only a few months left of my college career, I figured why not try something new that I might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn outside of school. I love learning languages, and after the first few weeks of this class, I have already felt a great sense of accomplishment with every small step I've taken to build my foundation in Japanese. While I've found that writing Hiragana and learning new vocabulary are relatively easy for me, the most difficult things so far have been speaking and listening. I am very much a visual learner, so this is something I will have to practice at to get better. I am nothing but excited for all the learning yet to come in my journey to learn Japanese!
